Pair of 14karat yellow gold earrings that have been 3D scanned from real coral pieces. Hand set with 20 total VS quality diamonds in the crevices of the earrings. SOLD AS A PAIR. Tracing a familial connection to her father’s upbringing in Haenam, South Korea, Sojin has always been drawn to the ocean. The ocean’s seduction took an even greater hold on her after her first time scuba diving in Mexico’s Atlantic waters where she witnessed kaleidoscopic designs and colors that continuously harmonize as they are perceived in real time. Soon after she became a licensed diver, the Ecife earrings (from “arrecife,” the Spanish word for coral) were 3D scanned with Rose from hand-picked, fossilized coral from one of Sojin’s excursions. They are embedded with pave diamonds to represent the sun’s rays, refracted by salt water and reflected by the coral. Costolo offers both mined and created diamonds, to allow for each client’s subjective preference.
